...the presidential candidates need to get out and really meet with real people. They just can’t run media campaigns. They have to get outside of rope lines and go in peoples’ living rooms and kitchens and be able to look people in the eye and answer the tough questions.

ReplyDeleteOn a similar note, I 'scored' tickets to a live broadcast of Meet the Press at the Capitol Center for the Arts. It was yesterday.
Afterwards, the candidates were ensconced with the press only in a room labeled "Spin Alley", missing a great opportunity for a meet and greet with the throngs of enthusiastic Republicans in the lobby.
I would have stayed, but my candidate wasn't even in the state.
(Although I did score a Vermin Supreme bumper sticker. Didn't get to see the goat that was reportedly riding shotgun in his car. Did get to meet Vermin, though!)
